Will Harris Portfolio
Will was born into an established kennel of hounds and gundogs, and has been reared within the canine world, having had some of the world’s top judges around him as he grew up, he has developed a good knowledge of many breed standards, thus assisting him in capturing his subjects.
He resides in the beautiful Welsh countryside on a farm where he is most active when not taking photographs, along with him as companions is a very successful kennel of Longhaired Dachshunds, Miniature Longhaired Dachshunds, two working border collies, 100 head of Friesian Cattle and 250 sheep.
A UK Native, Will spent a year in Africa as a small boy with his family, which at a very influential time of his life developed his love of animals and the great outdoors, he went to school and college locally and settled down to a working life on the farm and specialized in learning all about balance and symmetry of animals to make good sound stock.
He is encouraged and advised by some of the Top UK canine photographers and special thanks must go to John Hartley for all of his continued support and tutoring.
Will decided to concentrate on the photography business after his brother’s death, instead of just assisting Edward when he had been busy and continue his brother’s dream of a working partnership.
Will was a winner in the prestigious Kennel Club’s Dog Photographer of the Year 2007 with his own border collie in the ‘Dogs at Work‘category.
Will is proud to currently work for the World renowned ‘Our Dogs’ canine weekly newspaper based in Manchester and attends shows as one of their team of official photographer’s.
Will is happy to undertake a home visit, and is also happy to accommodate visitors to the farm, where the Welsh scenery is endless.
